As a follow-on from our previous post, this is something that we have heard plenty of times and, just like the “weird voice” issue, this has stopped people from taking part in podcasts and other recorded interviews.
youcast is produced by Podversations, a small business based in Geelong, Victoria. We specialise in creating conversational podcasts (that’s where our name comes from) and so, we have plenty of experience in chatting to people who are a bit edgy about sitting down in front of a microphone and talking. We understand that it can be a bit nerve-wracking if you have never done it before and so we do everything we can to minimise your concerns.
In most cases, our youcast conversations will be created via telephone. It’ll just be like chatting to someone on your phone – the only difference is that we’ll be recording the chat. And, if we absolutely have to, we can edit out the bits that you don’t want to keep.
In our experience, once people record their first interview / podcast episode, they find that they really enjoy the experience. Why not give it a go?
